Asona, an acoustics engineering company, has a strong reputation in the industry, a great story, and a unique product range. In a world of outsourcing and obfuscation, they are unique in that they are committed to local manufacturing, innovation, great products and services, and improving building interiors to benefit people and the environments we inhabit. Our task was to create a range of visual pieces to accompany a visual rebrand that sheds light on the quiet yet hardworking materials they create.
Amplifying Asona's total commitment to creating beautifully engineered quality and unique products that set them apart from the rest. Grounding the work with hyper-realistic representations of their product and abstracting how they move and shift, allows us to communicate the feeling and magic they bring to a space. Visualising the feeling of how sound affects how we feel and what we do.

A motion identity for RNZ dedicated to amplifying their commitment to creating trusted, high-quality journalism.

The heart of RNZ is journalism with a dedication to delivering high-quality news and reporting. To reinforce this idea with current media sources such as online streaming and social media applications, the motion identity needed to create consistency and reliability with longevity. Animated motifs with subtle nods, that don’t distract from the journalism, but rather support it. Motion is made seamless by creating a set of tools to allow each piece of media, whether it be interviews or daily reports, to fit simply into the RNZ online ecosystem whilst still maintaining a true sense of self.

WorkGroup used 3D visualization, photogrammetry, and animation to highlight the intricate details of Yu Mei's utility-driven pieces, seamlessly blending form and function with the existing mainline pieces.

‘Nature of Flight’ is a 30-minute ambient sound piece built from recorded foley to inspire a calm, deep connection to Nature for Air New Zealand’s new premium check-in area. By creating a sonic ‘greeting’, we aimed to evoke a sense of place with an immersive sonic experience. Utilising an extended ambient composition to act as a sensory element that delivers a transformative travel experience

The story begins with the start of the journey itself, with the new premium check-in area at Auckland Airport, an excellent opportunity to transport the traveller to a different space. The 30-minute ambient piece was constructed from various sonic layers inspired by nature’s breaks in silence. The aim was to create a sound bed that felt infinite and avoided any sense of overt repetition or overfamiliarity with an evolving soundscape that seems to regenerate and renew itself. Field recordings taken from KareKare in the Waitākere Ranges capture New Zealand birdsong and a moving landscape .
Paired with a living wall featuring fauna and flora from the Waitākere ranges and a 

 ambient animation displayed on a 12-metre LED screen across the updated lounge. Featuring waves of AirNZ iconic brand colours gently flowing along the walls of the new space. ‘Nature of Flight’ completes the installation and amplifies New Zealand’s strong connection to nature.

The sonic composition invites the traveller to take the nature of our place with them on their journey. A sound playing to the senses, enhancing the nature of the journey while imparting comfort and calm.

With a keen focus on every fine-tuned detail, we have recreated Greig Brebner’s entire line of intricately crafted umbrellas in the 3D space, allowing for enhanced E-commerce imagery and bringing the umbrellas to life in exciting, vibrant new ways with animation.

Using James' designs as a solid, consistent anchor, we explored the potential of moments created with both pieces of furniture. Transient & shifting, James' designs remain constant. With specially crafted sound and flowing visuals, we aimed to show the beauty in the shifting moments we share.

We worked with the GAIT team to tell the story of their impressive Flux sensor technology whilst aiming to translate complex systems & information in a way that is digestible & understandable.
